So, I have to ask (because they save my sanity-I have to have sleep-after having a baby) but have you read the books 'on Becoming Babywise' or 'The Baby Whisperer'? I can't recommend them enough. The basic philosophy is what helps me get my boys sleeping through the night soon (about 3 mo for both) and going to sleep on their own. But, she is beautiful and I hope that your Christmas trip is as fun and restful as you need:)
